** CLOSED **
Sadly due to restrictions on obtaining and distributing surplus food and a lack of funding opportunities, we have had to close the food hut for good.
The Hut Food Share Larder has been an incredible project, started during covid when the team transformed the West Church Hall into a food bank brimming with tins, supporting people locally and delivering food parcels to those who needed it. Thanks to the Hub, we then moved it into its home at the old police radio station. Our amazing team of staff and volunteers have spent the last 5 years braving all weathers to share food, save it from landfill, helping our community and our planet, and we are so grateful to them for all their hard work.
We'd like to give an ENORMOUS thank you to our dedicated team who have nurtured this project over the years and to everyone who has shared with us and supported it.

The Trustees apologise to Davochfin Farm for a previous statement posted here. We accept that the wording could create an unfair impression of Davochfin Farm , and that it went further than was helpful or appropriate in describing the end of the arrangement.
It was not our intention to suggest bad faith or improper conduct on the part of Davochfin Farm. We recognise the support that was given to the project while it was hosted at the farm, and we are sorry for any upset caused by the way the notice was expressed. We wanted to show that Dornoch Firth Group no longer delivered the project.
